The Jakarta Elektrik PLN women’s team became the first team to secure their place in the grand final of the 2024 PLN Mobile Proliga, following defeating Jakarta BIN 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-21) in the second day of the second series of the final four, at the Jatidiri GOR Semarang, Friday (12/7).
This victory is Electric PLN’s fourth victory in the last four rounds that took place last week in Surabaya. Two wins in Surabaya and one other win was achieved in Semarang.
Having already collected four wins, Yolla Yuluana is confirmed to advance to the final four which will take place on July 20, 2024.
The team coached by Thai coach Chamnan Dokmai still has one more match left in Semarang, namely once morest Jakarta Pertamina Enduro, Saturday (12/7/2024).
If the BUMN team wins the final match, Electric PLN will become the champion of the second round of the final four series and receive a coaching prize of Rp 60 million.
Meanwhile, Jakarta BIN still has a chance to appear in the final accompanying Electric PLN. In the remaining match once morest Jakarta Popsivo Polwan, Megawati Hangesti et al. need only one set to ensure a place in the final.

After the match, Jakarta BIN assistant coach, Labib said, his players’ performance was actually on track. In fact, it can be said that his team played freely, and the meeting record with Electric PLN is better this season.
”But anything can happen on the field. I see that my children are actually trying to get out of the pressure. There is still a lack of harmony. The receive skill is still not visible. This is what we will fix when facing the final match once morest Popsivo Polwan. Hopefully, Fortuna is still on our side,” he said.
Jakarta BIN player, Arneta Putri also admitted that her team performed below par when playing once morest Electric PLN. Apart from that, another obstacle faced was that a number of players were sick.

”We will go all out once morest Popsivo to ensure we qualify for the grand final,” he said.
In another part, Electric PLN assistant coach Roy Letlora was grateful that his team was able to win this match with a convincing score of 3-0, and also qualified for the grand final. This result was unexpected considering that previously Electric PLN had always lost to Jakarta BIN since the regular series.
”This achievement further ignites the players’ mentality. We will play wiser in rotating players for the next match. The kids played great. Marina’s serve was quite difficult for the opponent,” he said.
Meanwhile, Electric PLN captain, Yolla Yuliana, stated that she would not let go of her last match once morest Pertamina Enduro, Sunday (14/7/2024). The players continued to perform optimally to achieve victory.
”We still play enjoyably to welcome the grand final. We are grateful that our game is getting better. The target going forward is of course to be the champion,” said Yolla who has twice helped bring the champion trophy with Electric in 2015 and 2017. (Z-6)
