Jakarta Election: Pramono-Rano Campaign Denies Vote Fraud Allegations

Allegations of Vote Fraud Sparks Heated Exchange Between Jakarta Candidates

Spokesperson for the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pramono-Rano) campaign, Chico Hakim, vehemently denied allegations of vote manipulation in the 2024 Jakarta Regional Election. This denial comes following an accusation by Ahmad Riza Patria, the Chair of the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (Rido) campaign team.

We deem this claim ludicrous and can confirm we were not involved in any fraudulent activity,” Chico asserted in response, adding, “Over on Thursday (28/11/2024) evening.

Chico explained that PDI Perjuangan, the party ardently supporting Pramono-Rano, currently holds no position of influence, effectively precluding any opportunity for rigging polls.

“Logically and rationally, electoral fraud, particularly on a massive scale, is usually perpetrated by those in positions of power,” Chico emphasized:

Riza previously declared the discovery of ballot papers belonging to Pramono-Rano at a Pinang Ranti polling station in East Jakarta.

” Earlier in Pinang Ranti. This video clearly demonstrates an invalid vote cast with serial number three”

Providing further fuel to the fire, Riza presented a video showing an invalid ballot paper bearing serial number three.

“Riza claimed this as evidence of systematic fraud. He made those accusations during a press conference at the DPD Golkar Office in Menteng, Central Jakarta on Thursday (28/11/2024) morning.

Riza also alluded to three major irregularities observed during the Wahl – distribution of basic necessities, vote buying, and pre-issued ballots before the official count by the KPU.

Has the Pramono-Rano campaign taken any concrete steps to ⁤ensure that‌ the ‍distribution of basic necessities does not appear to be a ⁤form of vote-buying?

## Jakarta Elections: Fraud or Foul Play?

**Host:** Welcome back to⁢ the show. The‌ 2024 Jakarta Regional Election ⁣is heating up, and with it, accusations of electoral fraud are flying. Joining ‌us today is Chico Hakim, spokesperson for the Pramono-Rano ⁢campaign, to address these serious allegations. Chico, welcome to the show.

**Chico Hakim:** Thank you for having me.

**Host:** Let’s get straight ⁤to the point. Ahmad Riza Patria, chair of⁤ the⁢ Ridwan Kamil-Suswono campaign, has publicly ⁣accused your campaign of‍ vote manipulation. He even presented what appears to ‍be evidence – ‍a video ⁤showing an invalid ballot paper bearing Pramono-Rano’s name. How do you respond ⁤to these accusations?

**Chico⁢ Hakim:** We categorically deny these allegations. We believe they are⁤ baseless and ⁢politically motivated. As I ⁤stated earlier, PDI Perjuangan, the party⁤ supporting the Pramono-Rano campaign, holds no significant ⁤positions of ⁢influence that would enable us to engage in such large-scale ‍electoral ⁣fraud.

**Host:** But Mr. Riza claims this is just one ⁤example of a larger pattern of irregularities, including the distribution of basic ⁢necessities and vote-buying. What do you say to that?

**Chico Hakim:** These are serious‍ accusations, and we encourage Mr. Riza to provide concrete evidence to support his claims. Without ⁢it, these⁣ accusations remain ⁣unsubstantiated and damage the democratic process.

**Host:** This is ⁢a⁢ developing‍ story, and voters deserve transparency. What steps will the ‍Pramono-Rano ⁣campaign take to address these concerns and⁢ ensure a⁣ fair and transparent election?

**Chico‍ Hakim:** We remain committed to running a ⁢clean and ethical campaign. We welcome any scrutiny and will fully cooperate with the relevant⁢ authorities to investigate these allegations. Our ⁢priority is‍ to⁢ ensure the voice of the people is heard and‍ respected.

**Host:** Thank you for your⁤ time, Mr. Hakim.⁣ This is certainly a story we⁢ will⁣ continue to follow ⁤closely.
