Five people, including three Medellín police officers, were sent to jail after being accused of extortion, illegal deprivation of liberty and ideological falsification in a public document.
The events occurred on October 6, 2023, in the Naranjal neighborhood of Medellín, when a mayor and two police patrol officers illegally detained a couple.
Public Order
The victims of the event were accused by the uniformed officers of being the culprits of an alleged robbery. The agents held the couple for about three hours, demanding $20 million in exchange for not being prosecuted.
Under pressure, the victim’s partner handed over $10 million, which was not reported by the police.

**Title: Exclusive Interview on the Impact of “Frenemies”**
**Interviewer:** Good evening, everyone. Today, we have a special Alex Reed joining us, Emily Carter, the author of the book that inspired the upcoming movie “Frenemies.” Emily, thank you for being here.
**Emily Carter:** Thank you for having me! It’s a pleasure to be here.
**Interviewer:** The movie “Frenemies” explores the intense relationship between two girls who despised each other in school. What inspired you to write their story?
**Emily Carter:** The inspiration came from my own experiences in school. Friendships can be complicated, and often, the lines between friendship and rivalry blur. I wanted to capture the emotions and conflicts that come with such relationships.
**Interviewer:** That’s fascinating! Can you tell us a bit about the main characters? What makes their story so compelling?
**Emily Carter:** Absolutely. The two main characters, Sarah and Jessica, are polar opposites. Their hatred stems not just from jealousy but also misunderstanding. As the story unfolds, they discover that their differences can lead to unexpected personal growth, making their journey relatable to anyone who has experienced similar conflicts in their own friendships.
**Interviewer:** It sounds like a powerful message. With the movie adaptation coming out soon, what do you hope audiences take away from it?
**Emily Carter:** I hope audiences see the importance of empathy and communication. Everyone has their own struggles, and sometimes, simply understanding someone else’s perspective can change everything. I want the viewers to reflect on their own relationships and how they handle conflicts.
**Interviewer:** That’s a wonderful sentiment. Lastly, can you share any behind-the-scenes experiences from the filming of “Frenemies”?
**Emily Carter:** Working on the film has been incredible! The cast has been fantastic, really bringing the characters to life. One memorable moment was on set when the actors shared their own stories of friendship and rivalry, which added a deeper layer to their performances.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Emily, for sharing your insights with us. We’re excited to see ”Frenemies” come to life on screen!
**Emily Carter:** Thank you! I can’t wait for everyone to see it!
**Interviewer:** Stay tuned for the release of “Frenemies,” and remember to cherish your friendships, even the complicated ones!
