POLICE have arrested suspect AGP, 37, who threatened the victim with the initials CW, 29, to send money. AGP had previously recorded immoral acts with CW’s mother in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, in May 2024. If the money was not handed over, AGP threatened to spread the video to the public.

“On Friday (30/8/2024) the investigation team from Unit 3 Subdit IV Tipid Cyber ​​Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya uncovered the case and at the same time made forced arrests of the suspect in the alleged criminal act of threatening via electronic media (online) pornography crimes,” said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, Thursday (5/9/2024).

Ade Safri explained that the case began when CW received a photo and video content from a number containing photos and videos containing immoral content, namely sexual scenes allegedly carried out by the reporting mother together with AGP.

“Then the reported party or suspect made a threat to spread the photos and videos containing immoral content, if they were not given Rp. 1 million,” said Ade.

Feeling threatened, the reporter then sent Rp200 thousand to a bank account in the name of the suspect AGP. However, the suspect threatened the victim again if he did not send back the remaining money requested by the suspect.

“The reporter then sent Rp200 thousand to the suspect’s account, but for the umpteenth time, the suspect again made threats to disseminate the pornographic photo and video content accompanied by a request for money,” he said.

He said if the victim did not have the money the suspect asked for, it could be replaced by having sex. Meanwhile, CW’s mother had passed away some time ago.

“Due to the threat, the victim then reported the alleged criminal act to the Polda Metro Jaya SPKT with report number LP/B/2624/V/2024/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya, dated May 14, 2024,” said Ade Safri.

Based on the report, the investigation team from Unit 3 Sub-Directorate IV Cyber ​​Crime Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police arrested the suspect who lives in Gang H. Ali, Lenteng Agung, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta.

“From the arrest, evidence was confiscated, such as one mobile phone with two SIM cards, one ATM card, two transfer receipts, and one bundle of conversations. Whatsapp,” he explained.

In addition, one video of an immoral scene allegedly carried out by the victim’s late mother and the suspect and eight displays of immoral images or photos were also confiscated from the suspect.

Ade Safri also explained that the suspect was charged with Article 29 in conjunction with Article 45B of Law No. 1 of 2024 concerning the Second Amendment to Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions, and/or Article 4 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 29 of Law No. 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography, with a maximum prison sentence of 12 years and a maximum fine of IDR 3 billion.
