La Grande Maison du Sentier is expanding its Master Control collection, an icon of modern Swiss watchmaking, by reinterpreting two watches with complications typical of this collection – the Master Control Calendar and the Master Control Chronograph Calendar. Thanks to its steel bracelet compatible with other Jaeger-LeCoultre attachment systems, the Master Control is now more versatile than ever.

The year 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the Master Control, launched in 1992 to demonstrate the Maison’s commitment to the highest level of watchmaking excellence. This creation also saw the beginnings of the “1,000 hour control” system. Designed by Jaeger-LeCoultre and now applied to its entire range of watches, this set of quality standards symbolizes the Maison’s promise to its customers.
The Master Control exemplifies Jaeger-LeCoultre’s approach to precision timekeeping. Furthermore, this collection celebrates the continued value of mechanical watchmaking and its most iconic complications, even in the 21st century. The two new models of the Master Control, in stainless steel with an interchangeable bracelet, encourage a better integration of the calendar and the chronograph into our daily lives, recognizing the importance of the active lifestyles that characterize today’s world.

During the 2022 edition of Watches and Wonders, the Maison demonstrated its exceptional know-how in the field of calendar watches, unveiling pieces such as the Master Hybris Artistica Caliber 945 and the Atmos Hybris Mechanica Caliber 590 , which represent some of the most sophisticated mechanical expressions of cosmic time in modern watchmaking.
The new interpretation of the Master Control Calendar and the Master Control Chronograph Calendar embodies Jaeger-LeCoultre’s desire to reinforce the functional dimension of date watches.

Building on the recent success of the Master Control Calendar with its blue dial, the latest Master Control Calendar with an interchangeable strap has a dial whose color palette emphasizes purity and refinement. This sunburst silver dial features a tone-on-tone aesthetic consistent with the aesthetic codes of the Master Control, notably featuring Dauphine hands and Arabic numerals interspersed with arrow-shaped hour markers. The jumping date hand specific to this model ends with a red lacquered Jaeger-LeCoultre logo for easy and intuitive reading.
Equally pure in its chronometric expression, the Master Control Chronograph Calendar features chronograph hands and a moon phase disc, both of which are blue in order to bring out the indications of these complications. For the first time, the Master Control Calendar and the Master Control Chronograph Calendar are available with a steel bracelet fitted with a quick-change system – reflecting the growing importance of robust and versatile watches in today’s world.

The two new models with a steel bracelet of the Master Control are also accompanied by a light brown Novonappa® calfskin strap. This bracelet is equipped with the same quick-change system, making the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control a truly all-season watch.
