Daniel Jadue once once more raised criticism once morest the government and accused the “seditious truckers” of being treated with a “white glove”, while the workers have been repressed. All following the eviction of subcontractors from the Enap Bío Bío refinery and the Executive’s agreement with carriers who were mobilized last week.

The mayor of Recoleta and former presidential candidate of the Communist Party (PC), Daniel Jadue criticized the government on Monday night for treating the mobilization of truckers with an alleged privilege, over other demonstrations, particularly of workers.

On his Twitter account, Jadue assured that “seditious truck drivers” are treated with a “white glove”, while “fighting workers” are repressed with “brutality”.

“Seditious truckers are treated with a white glove and willingness to dialogue but Workers who fight for fair labor demands are brutally repressed. Something is wrong in these days of hope and expectations of transformations #bastaderepression”, was Jadue’s tweet.

Before that, the former presidential candidate from Recoleta gave his support to Enap’s subcontractor workers, who in recent days have blocked entry to the Bío Bío refinery.

“All my solidarity with the subcontracted workers of #ENAP. They have been on strike for 1 week. I call on ENAP to start the dialogue that has been unnecessarily delayed. Better pay and working conditions are urgently needed to close the gaps,” Jadue said on his Twitter account.

Finally, and with the use of special police forces, the eviction was carried out, which left 7 detainees and ended with the stoppage of the Enap Bío Bío refinery, carried out by subcontracted workers.

From the Government, the presidential delegate Daniela Dresdner, justified the action due to the danger of shortages reported by the state company.

“We have decided to put forward the security and supply of the citizens,” he commented.

Regarding the truck drivers, the Government presented laws for Internal State Security once morest some mobilized carriers, although on Saturday followingnoon, the Undersecretary of the Interior, Manuel Monsalve, reached an agreement with the union that ended the blocking of routes.
