Canadiens goalie prospect Jacob Fowler made 32 saves, helping the Boston College Eagles defeat the Boston University Terriers 4-3 Saturday night in an NCAA game.
The Eagles won both duels of the weekend once morest their great rivals in the Hockey East section.
Deploying six skaters late in the game, the Terriers got within a net thanks to Macklin Celebrini, whose sweeping shot found its way past Fowler with 2:11 remaining.
Fowler, 69th overall pick in the last draft by the CH, however refused to give in by making a good glove save at the expense of Lane Hutson in the very last seconds.
In the first period, Fowler stood idly by a two-on-one run involving Hutson’s brother Quinn as the Terriers looked to get on the board.
On Friday, the 19-year-old rookie goalkeeper helped Boston College score its first victory, 4-1.
