Jackson Wang is scheduled to perform at the next League of Legends Opening ceremony of the world championship on November 5.
The inclusion of the GOT7 member in the performance lineup was announced via the official League of Legends Twitter page earlier today (October 27), in the form of a fake “memorandum” from Lil Nas X, who is dubbed Riot Games’ office chairman in the announcement and will also be performing alongside Wang.
“It has come to my attention that our Worlds opening ceremony needs more fire. That’s why I called an expert to advise me. Everyone welcomes Jackson Wang to the League of Legends family,” the notice read. “With his magic (see what I did there?) and my genius brain, we’ll make this year’s performance an unforgettable experience. »

With the addition of Wang to the lineup, Riot Games has confirmed and finalized the four performers who are to grace the Worlds Opening Ceremony stage. Rounding out the line-up are singers Edda Hayes and Louis Leibfried.
The opening ceremony of Worlds and the esports competition finals that follow will take place on November 5 at 5:00 p.m. PT and will be streamed live from San Francisco via lolesports.com. The same live stream will also be made accessible through Riot Games’ YouTube and Twitch channels.

Wang’s most recent music was his studio album “Magic Man,” released in early September. It features a total of 10 tracks, including pre-release singles “Blow”, “Cruel” and “Blue”, all of which received accompanying video treatments. It was his second album as a soloist so far, following the March mixtape “LOST & FOUND,” featuring eight old songs he had previously recorded but remained unreleased.
In a four-star rave review of ‘Magic Man’, NME Tanu I. Raj described the album as a “pleasant listen”. “If his previous releases told his coming-of-age story, ‘Magic Man’ is where Jackson Wang steps up and fully embraces his own potential,” they wrote.
