Jackson goes out to respond to José Antonio Kast after criticizing the public account: “Apparently he gave his opinion without having heard the speech”

On Wednesday, June 1, the Presidente Gabriel Boric He made his first public account before the full Congress in Valparaíso.

After the ceremony, parliamentarians and leaders -both from Chile Vamos and the Republican Party- gave an account of their analyzes and balances, accusing the lack of “concrete ads”, especially in terms of security.

One of them was the former helmsman of the Republican Party and former presidential candidate, José Antonio Kastwho that day assured in his social networks that during the speech President Boric “he does not mention, not even once, the word delinquency nor terrorism”.

This Friday, the Minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency (Segpres), Giorgio Jacksoncame out in the face of those criticisms.

In dialogue with Radio Duna, the Secretary of State assured that “whoever wants to see the worst of the expressions made in this case by someone who may be a political adversary because they are from another point or another sector, will always see the worst, and the greatest expression of that is in this case José Antonio Kast, who apparently even issued that opinion without having heard the speech”.

“I don’t know if he didn’t read or listen to the speech, because the word delinquency was used four times, the word security 25 times,” he added, specifying that “all the things that matter to people regarding this matter, I would say that were mentioned and addressed.

Given this scenario, the head of the Segpres stated that “the security agenda was the one that, in particular, had more announcements and more measures throughout the speech” and “it was quite forceful”.

And while he acknowledged that “of course the assessments by the opposition may be different,” he pointed out that “the objective fact that not only measures, resources, actions, but also security bills, it’s obvious”.

“Whoever wants to see everything negative is going to see everything negative, unfortunately,” he said.
