The runners-up in the main round clearly defeated the Hamburg Towers on Sunday followingnoon with 89:81 (37:46) and had significantly fewer problems than in the first game on Friday evening, when victory only came following extra time and with a three pointer at the last second.
Peter Jackson-Cartwright was once more the best man in Bonn and scored 41 points. On Friday he had shone with 36 points. Game three of the series will now take place on Friday (7 p.m.) in Hamburg.
If the Bonners also win away, the series ends in the quarter-finals. A possible semi-final opponent would then be FC Bayern Munich.
