A line on Eurojackpot submitted in Sweden was worth SEK 250 million during Friday evening. It is the highest win for Sweden at the Eurojackpot since 2018.
─ The evening offered wintry rain in Sweden! A total of four Swedish players became millionaires at Eurojackpot during the evening’s draw, says Filippa Jartén, communicator at Svenska Spel Tur.
Before Friday’s draw, the jackpot at Eurojackpot had risen to about SEK 480 million and after the draw it was clear that a player in Sweden had got everything right. The line with 5+2 right shares the jackpot with a played line in Norway. The dividend will therefore be SEK 250,951,363 each.
─ It’s great fun that we get a jackpot win for Sweden! And the fact that the jackpot was shared with Norway at the same time as the opening of the Olympics in Paris is getting underway feels extra fun. This win climbs up to third place among the biggest gambling wins at Svenska Spel Tur ever. The record profit is SEK 562 million for Örebro in 2019, says Filippa Jartén, communicator at Svenska Spel Tur.
It is the eighth time that the jackpot at Eurojackpot has gone to Sweden, the last time was to a player in Gislaved who won SEK 173 million in February.
For Svenska Spel Tur’s communicator, it is now important to get all the details in place.
─ It will be incredibly exciting to call the person who submitted the winning line. How will the message be received? I can’t imagine how one could possibly react to such a big win. But one thing is certain, it will definitely be a conversation that we will both remember for the rest of our lives, says Filippa Jartén.
When the new millionaire has been congratulated, a bank meeting awaits, which is an important part of Svenska Spel Tur’s gambling responsibility.
─ When it is a profit at a completely unreasonably high level, of course extra caution and care is required. The prize will therefore be paid out in connection with a bank meeting where the winner receives legal, financial and security advice. It is important to us that the winner gets to land in his new life as safely as possible, concludes Filippa Jartén.
During the evening, a player from Värnamo and Enköping also scored 5 correctly and won SEK 1.2 million each. A third player from Klippan scored 5+1 correctly and collected a profit of SEK 5.2 million.
