Romania’s Simone Halep reached the semi-finals of the women’s singles competitions at the Dubai Tennis Open, following defeating Tunisian Anas Jaber in two sets without a response.
Halep outperformed Anas Jaber 6/4 and 6/3.
In the semi-finals, Halep will face Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko.
Jelena Ostapenko qualified for the same round, following defeating the Czech Petra Kvitova, in two sets to one, 5-7, 5/7, 6/7.
Russia’s Veronika Kudirimitova qualified for the semi-finals, following defeating Switzerland’s Gilles Teichmann, 6-2, 7-5, 4-6.
Kudirimitrova set up a semi-final once morest Czech Marketa Vondrosova, who defeated Ukrainian Diana Yastremska in two sets without a response, 7-5, 4-6.
