More than one! More than a night of semi-basketball before moving on to serious things. On the penultimate night of the preseason only two small games were on the program, and if in the first the Grizzlies defeated the Pistons in the small game of who has the best young teamin the second we probably exchanged tanking advice more than anything else.
The results of the night
Two small matches therefore, which at least allowed us to watch this program quietly without risking epilepsy. In Detroit to start, the Ja Morant show (re) becomes ridiculous when the season has not even resumed. 31 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks in 25 minutes and, above all, endless takeoffs, as if the gravity was different for him, as if he were light as a feather. Goofy counterattacks with almost every interception for the Grizzlies, so either Ja is really inhuman or Dwane Casey is going to have to work on the defensive back. On the Pistons side precisely? Isaiah Stewart is said to have become Stephen Curry (4/10 from the parking lot), which would be just funny if Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey and Bojan Bogdanovic hadn’t also put their shots outside the circle. This is what it’s like to play without a franchise player, and at the same time you have to save Killian Hayes. Oh, and by the way, Kevin Knox is still alive.
In the second game of the night Spurs and Thunder met at the lottery the AT&T Center, and it was obviously the youth that shone. The two Williams, not Venus and Serena eh, insured for OKC, Josh Giddey is already the smoothest passer in the history of the game and Ousmane Dieng confirmed that he had become skilful once more off the bench. On the Spurs side, we loved the speed and the taking of responsibility of Josh Primo, the three “old” Vassell, Johnson and Poeltl laid the foundations of leadership and the rookies played very little, apart from a sometimes erased Sochan sometimes talkative, talkative being still a super fun word to write.
