J. Sičiūnas, M. Juodvalkytė won the cinematography awards  Culture

As reported by the organizers, at the ceremony held on Friday, J. Sičiūnas won the main prize in the “Ėuolo” category for his work in the film “Per arti” directed by Austėja Urbaitė, while the “Gilė” prize for young cinematographers went to M. Juodvalkyta, a student of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, for the film “Hablo law”, directed by Arnas Balčiūnas.

His students Laurynas Bareiša (“You don’t remind me of anything”, directed by Marija Kavtaradze) and Vytautas Plukas (“Poet”, directed by Giedrius Tamoševičius, Vytautas V. Landsbergis) competed with J. Sičiūnas for the main prize, as well as cameraman from Poland Jacek Podgorski ( “The Ninth Step”, directed by Irma Pužauskaitė).

In the youth category, in addition to the laureate M. Juodvalkytė, Dominika Pieczulis (film “When I Was a Malalietka”, directed by Severina Vaičiūnaitė) and Matas Juškaitis (“Procesija”, directed by Agnė Girsaitė) competed.

This year, the cinematographers’ appreciation prize went to the administrator of the Film and TV studio of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, Jurga Mačionyta, for all her help. .

Cinematographer Kristina Sereikaita received a special mention in the “Ažuolo” category for her attentive and respectful look at the characters of the documentary and her exceptional professional attitude in the documentary “Mammoth Hunting” directed by Aistė Stonytė.

The LMTA students’ prize “for endless dedication and support” went to the academy’s teacher, cameraman Simon Glinskis.
