Many may already have Ventoy heard and use it, as I have for a long time.

Briefly about the function:

Nowadays operating systems are usually installed with a USB stick

That’s why you create a separate USB stick for each installation image or write to a single one over and over again. This is quite annoying in the long run.

With Ventoy you can (depending on the size of the stick) copy dozens of images onto the USB stick and select what is currently to be installed in the boot menu.

IVentoy goes one step further and provides a PXE server. So you don’t even need a USB stick anymore. The computer to be installed only needs to be set to boot from the network

Translated excerpt from the project page:

iVentoy is an advanced version of PXE server.
With iVentoy you can boot and install operating systems on multiple computers at the same time over the network.
iVentoy is extremely easy to use, without complicated configuration, just place the ISO file in the specified location and choose PXE boot on the client machine.
iVentoy supports x86 Legacy BIOS, IA32 UEFI, x86_64 UEFI and ARM64 UEFI mode at the same time.
iVentoy supports 110+ common OS types (Windows/WinPE/Linux/VMware)

So far over 167 operating systems are supported (List).

Of course, a server is required for this. However, it does not have to be switched on all the time, only when required. This certainly makes sense for applications in which several or many computers have to be reinstalled. In the private sphere it is a question of preference of the installer (admin).

To do an installation from time to time, Ventoy is certainly sufficient. Provided the network bandwidth is there, IVentoy is the more comfortable solution.
