Selected by the San Jose Sharks last Friday with the first overall pick in the amateur draft, Macklin Celebrini praised his former teammate with the Boston University Terriers.

“I’ve never played with anyone like him and I’ve played with a lot of great players,” he said on the popular podcast, Spittin Chiclets.

Known for his effective play in all three zones, the 18-year-old revealed that it was even difficult for him to stop Hutson during training and not fall for his head fakes.

“You don’t think you’re going to get fooled until you get fooled. You think, ‘Damn, he got me like all the others,'” he described.

Celebrini wasn’t surprised to see Hutson have success since he arrived in the NHL. The young No. 48 had collected two assists in two games to close the regular season in the blue, white and red uniform.

“That’s the type of player he is. He’s a special player. I might be a little biased, but I’m confident he’ll be a great player,” he concluded.
