In accordance with the decision of the Automatic Pricing Commission for Prices of Petroleum Products of the Ministry of Petroleum and price changes for certain products, the Alexandria Governorate approved new fares for internal and external transportation taxis provided by the Passenger and Terminal Station Project.

Alexandria Governor Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalid explained in a statement today, Friday, that the committee established to revise the tariff took into account the distance and number of trips per route in order to achieve justice.

The governor noted that the tariffs for external service vehicle (regional) trips have been coordinated with neighboring provinces and other provinces with which Alexandria has regional service vehicle trips to ensure uniformity of tariffs.

Governor Alexander directed the management of the passenger terminal and terminal projects to commit to announcing the new fares at various stations and hanging them in conspicuous places, and tasked transport drivers to produce posters with the new fares at each station. .

He stressed on the need to have special tags for mass transport vehicles that include routes and fares based on the new fare increase so that car drivers do not increase fares or divide routes individually.

The governor instructs relevant agencies to monitor around the clock to ensure that drivers of all types of transportation vehicles comply with the new toll standards and to take all legal measures against violators, emphasizing the need to decisively implement the approved new toll standards and follow up on various regulations across the province.
