Since the death of Elizabeth II last September, many things have changed within the British royal family. Starting with the military order reviewed by Charles III, which, at the same time, brought Kate Middleton into history.
Before dying on September 8, the reine Elisabeth II had taken the firm decision to withdraw the military titles of Prince Andrew, accused of sexual assault by the American activist Virginia Giuffre. Facts dating back to 2001 which had earned him the immediate removal of all his functions. He had notably lost the most prestigious of his stripes: that of colonel of the infantry regiment of the British Royal Guard.and had then forced the royal family to considerably revise its copy.
Kate Middleton goes down in history thanks to King Charles III
And to the new king, Charles III, to reorganize the Windsors militarily. According to its new organization, it is therefore now his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, who occupies the former post of Prince Andrew. So the prince Williamuntil then colonel of the Irish Guard, recovers the title of colonel of the Welsh Guard. And it’s up to Kate Middleton to make a sensational entry into this strictest organization chart as Colonel of the Irish Guard in place of her princely husband. Formed in 1900 by Queen Victoria, the Irish Guards are indeed an elite regiment of light infantry, and one of the only foot regiments in the British Royal Guard.
Buckingham Palace have announced the date of King Charles official birthday parade, Trooping the Colour: June 17, 2023 (42 days following his coronation).

Kate Middleton’s appointment raises some teeth
Distinguished by her stepfather, the roi Charles III in person, the mother of George, Charlotte and Louis therefore does not have to be ashamed at all of this new string to her bow. However, this unprecedented appointment is already causing a stir around the world. Indeed, logically, it’s the prince Harry who should have inherited this title. But that was without counting his departure for the United States with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children Archie and Lilibet. A move that did not please the Crown at all, and which today deprives him of all his functions in his country!
Buckingham Palace announced these multiple changes in an official press release, and took the opportunity to announce the date of the next Trooping the Color parade. The famous event, followed by the world, will therefore take place on June 17, 2023, a little later than usual due to the coronation of Charles III on May 6.
