The summer weather is coming back to Austria: The experts from Geosphere Austria predicted on Thursday that it will be very hot, especially at the weekend, with temperatures of up to 37 degrees.
High air pressure is already on Freitag weather determining. Sunny and dry weather will prevail until the evening. Thin veil clouds in high layers are hardly disturbing. Local cumulus clouds may form over the Alpine peaks. Temperatures climb to 27 to 31 degrees during the day.
Am Saturday The sun shines almost undisturbed from Vorarlberg to the eastern edge of the Alps and from the Bohemian Massif to the Karawanken and the Carnic Alps in the south. Cumulus clouds that form over the western peaks of the Alps also remain harmless. “The chance of thunderstorms is very low,” said the meteorologists. In Upper Austria in the morning it is 12 to 17 degrees, during the day even 33 to 37 degrees are possible. Upper Austria is one of the heat hotspots: according to the forecast by Geosphere Austria, it will be hottest on the north side of the Alps with the southern foehn.

Am Sunday it is sunny in many places with only a few harmless clouds. On the north side of the Alps it is initially still partly föhn. Little by little, however, clouds are moving in from Switzerland. “From the followingnoon, individual showers and thunderstorms must be expected in the mountains,” predicts Geosphere. Away from the mountains, however, it often stays dry until the evening. After morning temperatures of between 16 and 21 degrees, it gets hot once more during the day, with daily maximum temperatures of 28 to 31 degrees.
After the rain of the previous night it stays on Montag Prone to showers during the day. In the north of the country, the last showers can still move around in the morning before a friendly mix of sun and clouds sets in all of Upper Austria. Local thunderstorms are not excluded in the south. The wind blows on the northern side of the Alps, sometimes picking up. The temperatures reach 27 to 31 degrees.
Am Tuesday there is initially a mix of sun and clouds over the country. In the course of the day, however, the proportion of clouds will increase and showers and brief thunderstorms will form once more and once more. As in the days before, around 30 degrees are expected once more.
