A mistake by the Polish national team. What regarding the table following the defeat once morest China?

The match did not go according to Grbic’s team’s expectations. And this despite winning the first set 25:20. The next two matches were close, but the hosts were better in the decisive moments and won 25:22 and 25:23. Then the Poles showed masterclass, beating the Chinese 25:9 in the fourth set. The tie-break was a formality and ended with the score 16:14.

Although Grbić’s players did not collect all the points, they won all their matches and took first place.

In addition to the Poles, the Canadian team qualified for the summer games in second place. Even early on Sunday morning, Polish time, the Belgians had everything in their hands, and a victory once morest Bulgaria was enough to advance. Despite this, Emanuele Zanini’s volleyball players lost following a tie-break (21:25, 25:23, 25:21, 22:25, 13:15) in the last match, which means they will not go to the Olympics once more. The North American players took advantage of Belgium’s defeat and gave the Mexicans no chance in the seventh match, confidently winning 3-0 (25:20, 25:21, 25:25). Argentina also fought until the last moment. If the Canadians had somehow not plowed Mexico, the South American country would have been happy with the promotion.
