Yes, I am in Daegwanryeong, Gangneung right now.

It has been snowing non-stop for two days already in the mountains of Gangwon, including here.

Currently, heavy snow warnings are in effect in the mountains of central and northern Gangwon, and heavy snow warnings are in effect in six cities and counties along the east coast, and a heavy snow warning will be extended to all areas of Gangwon from 9:00 am.

In addition, a heavy snow warning was issued in eastern Gyeonggi-do and parts of Gyeongbuk.

There are places in the mountains where there is already close to 50 cm of snow.

So far, the amount of snow has been 47cm in Misiryeong, 44cm in Hyangrobong, 26cm in Jinburyeong, and 23cm in Seoraksan.

Also, in the East Coast, the rain that fell overnight turned to snow, with 5.7 cm in Gangneung in North Gangneung, 3.3 cm in Yangyang, and 4.0 cm in Goseong-gun Prefecture.

Around 4cm of it has also accumulated in the interior of northern Gangwon.

In the mountains of Gangwon and the east coast, snow is expected to continue until tomorrow followingnoon.

In particular, 10 to 30 cm in mountainous areas and up to 40 cm in many places will come more.

On the east coast of Gangwon, it will also lower by up to 15 cm.

Snow clouds will cover the entire country beyond the Taebaek Mountains.

Up to 7 cm in Gyeonggi-do and Chungbuk, and 1 to 3 cm in Seoul and Incheon are expected to snow.

In addition, 1 to 5 cm will accumulate in Jeonbuk and Jeju.

To date, there have been no road closures or damage reports due to heavy snowfall.

However, this snow that came from the sea seems to be heavy because it is wet snow with a lot of water vapor.

Structures such as greenhouses may collapse or small ships may sink, so preparation is required.

In addition, on March 1st of last year, more than 90cm of heavy snow poured down on the east coast of Gangwon, and as many as 700 vehicles were isolated on the Donghae Expressway overnight, so it is necessary to keep checking the weather information.
