For the tenth consecutive year, mountain musicians hike from cabin to inn to give concerts. Between grueling walks and heartbreaking ballads, “Libé” accompanied them on a small portion of their alpine tour.
Colliding with a scooter, falling under the metro, slipping on a turd, sinking into crack… Many are the risks that await the Parisian worker on the way to the office. But the probability of falling several tens or even hundreds of meters into the void at the slightest misstep is a priori quite minimal in the streets of the capital. In the Chablais massif, on the other hand, between Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva, it’s a different story. It was up there, in the hollow of a hut located at an altitude of 2100 meters on the route of the Dents du Midi, that we had an appointment on August 1st with the musicians of the Tournée des refuges. For the tenth consecutive year, Gaspard Panfiloff and his comrades embarked on a long journey on foot, instruments on their backs; every evening since July 10, with only a handful of days off, they give an acoustic concert in a mountain refuge, more or less large, more or less accessible. We accompanied them on a small portion of their alpine tour on horseback between France and Switzerland.
