‘It’s a monster’: the contractor takes installments, but never finishes the works

The works were to last three weeksbut today, six months laterMouloud and his family are still being renovated. “I’m finishing the work bit by bit. We’re in the dust, but at least we’re together.”explains our third victim of this entrepreneur.

For several months, Mouloud is alone in the house under construction. His daughter and his wife are in France, in the in-laws. “I slept in the kitchen. My wife and daughter (note: barely a few months old) were in Paris. I no longer saw them. It was the most difficult”, he tells us, moved. ” He really put me in a bad situation, especially moral and financial too. “

Mouloud lost 2000 euros in this “case”. He managed to recover 4,000 after major negotiations with the contractor, who had left several tools at home. But that doesn’t erase theare months of trouble experienced by the family. “He’s a monster. He has no heart”, he argues.

None of the three victims would have imagined such a catastrophic construction site. Each time, the man builds confidence. “People from the same community are supposed to help each other”, says Raphael. This is also what reassured Sarah. He was telling me : ‘We’re neighbors, we’re going to meet at the butcher’s, I’m not going to rip you off,'” she says. ” He had a reassuring speech. He told me that I could be reassured, but at no time were his words followed by action. “

Mouloud, Raphaël and Sarah have one common hope, that this entrepreneur can no longer continue his actions. But for the moment, the steps taken by the various victims have yielded nothing.
