Former Cameroonian star Samuel Eto’o continues to evade paying his financial obligations to his 22-year-old daughter, despite the court ruling last February that Erica de Rosario Neves, his daughter, actually had an extramarital affair and obligating him to pay 1,400 euros in monthly alimony to her.
The girl’s mother, Adelusa, began filing a case once morest the former Barcelona and Inter star in 2018, but recently threatened in an interview to resort to the judiciary once more to obtain her daughter’s dues. On the outskirts of the Spanish capital: “Everything I do is for my daughter. He hasn’t given her anything since she was born, not even following the court ruling. She grew up without a father and is very sad because she never had the chance to meet him.”
According to the report, Eto’o cut off all contact with Adeluza, who gave birth to Erica in 1999 at Alacron Hospital in Madrid. She added: “Samuel broke up with me as soon as he heard that I was pregnant, and yet I took my 15-day-old daughter to the exercise ground (it was at the time in Espanyol) to see her and took me aside and promised me that he would take care of her, but I leave behind. At the age of 3 and a half years, the doctors wanted to know the family’s medical history, so I called a mutual friend, and he contacted Samuel, but he told him that the mother and daughter were dead to me.”
Eto’o did not attend court sessions or the verdict and even avoided traveling to Spain to avoid legal problems, but ignoring his daughter is not in his long-term interest.
