Itauguá invites to the Festival del Ñandutí: a celebration of Paraguayan culture

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The National Ñandutí Festival, considered the most outstanding folkloric event in the country, will celebrate its 45th edition at the Olimpia Club of Itauguá. The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, Friday, March 8, and Saturday, March 9, 2024, starting at 9:00 p.m.

The ñandutí, declared a National Heritage of Folklore and Crafts by the National Secretariat of Culture (SNC), will be the undisputed protagonist of this festival, which will bring together artists, artisans and culture lovers from all over the country.

This annual event, which has already established itself as a tradition in the Paraguayan cultural calendar, will feature the participation of prominent folklore groups and exponents of Ñandutí art, who will display their skill and creativity in each performance.

The support of important institutions such as the Municipality of Itauguá, the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (Fondec), the Yacyretá Binational Entity and Itaipu Binacional guarantees the success and relevance of this festival, which promotes and preserves the cultural roots of Paraguay. .

For three consecutive nights, visitors will be able to enjoy folklore shows, Ñandutí crafts demonstrations, cultural exhibitions and much more. The National Ñandutí Festival is a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the country’s cultural and artistic wealth and celebrate one of its most emblematic expressions.
