Asuncion, IP Agency.- This year, the department of Itapúa will benefit from significant investments in health and road connectivity, through projects promoted by the Government through the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC).
In this context, the Minister of Public Works, Claudia Centurión, stated that these advances are the result of teamwork. Thus, “what we are doing today and these first steps we are taking would not be possible without a great human and technical team from the MOPC,” she stressed.
He also highlighted the important work of local authorities, including the governor, deputies and other authorities, in carrying out the processes in a coordinated manner and making these projects a reality in the shortest possible time.
One of the road projects that the community has been eagerly awaiting is the paving of the “Immigrant Route” from Hohenau to the Paredón port in that city, which is currently being tendered and whose offers will be received on Thursday, July 25.
On the other hand, there is a call for tenders for the rehabilitation works of the “Graneros del Sur” route, which connects the towns of Carmen del Paraná, Fram, La Paz and Capitán Miranda, among the new projects.
Added to this is the renewed access to the port of Campichuelo from route P06, which is being built in the Cambyretá district, in order to facilitate the transfer of all production to national and international markets.
Regarding health, the minister said that the region will soon have better services, with the upcoming inauguration of the “Gran Hospital del Sur” in the city of Encarnación.
