Asuncion, IP Agency.- In the department of Itapúa, modern equipment was delivered and rooms were refurbished in the hospitals of Carmen del Paraná, Coronel Bogado and Fram, to strengthen the local health system.
Governor Javier Pereira, along with councilors and mayors, toured the works and delivered medical equipment.
In Carmen del Paraná, the district hospital received advanced X-ray equipment for one of the fully refurbished hospital rooms. The investment was Gs. 602 million.
In Coronel Bogado, the delegation of authorities verified the repair and expansion works of the surgical space of the district hospital, which are financed by the Government of Itapúa for Gs. 272 million.
At the Fram District Hospital, a new operating room with a modern anesthesia machine was delivered. This intervention was carried out with an investment of Gs. 282,000,000 and aims to raise the standards of surgical care in the region.
The Governor’s Office highlights the need to strengthen the health system in Itapúa and to join forces to work together with the Ministry of Health.
