Italian clubs shone again at the European level during the current season 2022-2023, with 3 clubs qualifying for the quarter-finals in Champions League.

Naples, Milan and Inter Milan succeeded in reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League, along with Juventus and Roma in the European League and Fiorentina in the Conference League.

This is the third time in the history of European competitions that Italian clubs have succeeded in being present with 6 clubs in the quarter-finals in various competitions, and for the first time since the 1990-1991 season.

Italy’s clubs ensured their presence in half, as the draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League competition, the Italian team Milan, was drawn against Napoli, during the draw for the current season 2022-2023.

Calcio clubs have recovered at the European level during the current season, despite the financial crises that these clubs suffer from, and without concluding heavy-caliber deals, unlike many other clubs that strongly supported their ranks but did not complete their career.

Italian coaches also have a strong presence in the Champions League, and the three clubs are supervised by Italian coaches: Luciano Spalletti with Napoli, Simone Inzaghi, coach of Inter, and Stefano Pioli, coach of Milan.

In addition to these three, the other Italian, Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Real Madrid, is the only Italian among the four who has previously been crowned with the title of the owner of the ears with Real twice and with Milan in 2007.
