Italian (31) stabbed in Pinzgau bar: colleague suspected

When the police arrived at the bar, the suspected perpetrator had already cleaned up the crime scene. The officers were able to recover at least one knife, the police reported. The course of events was still largely unknown the following day.

Nighttime dispute escalated

According to witnesses, the argument between the two employees probably occurred around 3 a.m., but the police were not notified by emergency call until two hours later. At regarding the same time, the Tauernklinikum Zell am See informed the police that an Italian man had been admitted with a stab wound. In the time between the incident and the emergency call, the crime scene had already been “cleaned up.”

First interrogation failed

An initial questioning of the suspect, a 42-year-old Italian woman, failed due to language barriers. The woman also developed health problems, so she was also taken to hospital. What is certain, however, is that the man was stabbed once. It was not yet known on Tuesday when – with the help of an interpreter – the two might be questioned for the first time.
