It will rain from time to time over the next 24 hours

A new cyclone will reach Latvia on Saturday, so rain and fog are expected, forecasters predict.

At night, rain clouds will begin to cross the country from the west. The weak southwest wind will change to southeast. The minimum air temperature will be +1…+6 degrees; in the morning in the southern regions of Kurzeme and Zemgale the temperature will rise to +9 degrees.

During the day, only isolated rays of sun will break through the clouds in some places, and drizzling rain is expected in many places. The center of the fading cyclone will move over Latvia, so the wind will blow in a variable direction from weak to moderate. The maximum temperature will range from +5 degrees in some areas of the coast to +12 degrees in Selia.

Haze and fog are expected in many places both at night and during the day.

In Riga on Saturday, precipitation and fog are likely at times, with heavier rain in the morning. There will be a light wind of variable direction, with a moderate northwest wind in the evening. The air temperature at night will drop to +4 degrees, during the day it will rise to +10 degrees, and on Saturday evening it will get colder to +3 degrees.
