Yambu: The Meteorological Agency has warned that parts of Saudi Arabia will experience heat waves from Sunday until next Saturday. Riyadh province, eastern province and Madinah will experience temperatures of 46 to 49 degrees Celsius in the coming days, the center said. Warning of dust storms in these areas along with heat on Thursday and Friday.
Climate change is likely to be more pronounced in the eastern province, the eastern part of Riyadh, and between Madinah and Yambu. The maximum temperature will be between 12 noon and 3 pm. Care should be taken to avoid going out at this time. The Ministry of Health has advised people to take precautions to prevent heat-related health problems.
The traffic department has also warned motorists to be extra careful during hot weather.
