It turns out that this is the reason for Indra Bekti not using BPJS Kesehatan for treatment

Jakarta

Indra Bekti’s medical expenses for brain hemorrhage are known to have reached Rp 1 billion. This was stated directly by his brother-in-law, Komo Ricky. He also explained that the idea of fundraising that was conveyed by Indra Bekti’s wife, Aldila Jelita, was not the first time it was initiated from her side.

“So until now, Kak Bekti’s medical expenses have reached IDR 1 billion,” said Komo Ricky via his Instagram as quoted detikHot, Tuesday (3/1/2023).

Sadly, the insurance used by Indra Bekti was unable to fully cover the cost of treatment, and was only 10 percent. According to Komo, Indra Bekti has just joined the insurance company for six months. The insurance regulations require disbursement of funds for at least one year because the illness is classified as serious.

Why Not Use Health BPJS?

Komo explained that Indra Bekti’s brain hemorrhage occurred suddenly while working. As a result of this emergency, the family decided to take him to the nearest hospital.

“If you were asking regarding BPJS, when Bekti was unconscious, he took him to the nearest hospital while he was working. It’s impossible for us to go around looking for a hospital at that time if there’s someone nearby. We’ll definitely take him to the hospital. nearest for first aid,” explained Komo Ricky.

He also emphasized that Indra Bekti’s disease was not a mild illness like the flu. Therefore, choosing a hospital first is not a simple thing to do because a brain hemorrhage requires immediate medical attention.

Previously, BPJS Health Public Relations Head Iqbal Anas Ma’ruf revealed that costs related to brain hemorrhage were included in the JKN program.

The amount of costs that can be borne is regulated in Minister of Health Regulation No. 26 of 2021.

”The rules haven’t changed. The amount refers to the said minister of health regulation,” he explained to detikHealth, Monday (2/1).
