Even with the strong migration of the relationship between companies and customers to the online environment in recent years, 66% of small businesses in Brazil are still living their “digital childhood”, with little or no adherence to data management technologies, cybersecurity and applications in cloud, the basic triad for a company’s digital inclusion. The data is from the study Digital Maturity of Brazilian MSEs – ABDI and FGV – 2021.

Arklok, one of the biggest players in the IT infrastructure outsourcing market, has focused its efforts on creating solutions focused on small and medium-sized companies. In partnership with global technology giants, the company has created complete options aimed at expanding its participation in this market.

“There are regarding 6.6 million companies that account for 30% of GDP and half of the jobs in the country. We are positioning ourselves to strategically support the growth of these businesses, always offering the most advanced products at a low implementation cost”, reveals Andrea Rivetti, president of ARklok. According to Rivetti, for this audience the company has solutions at an initial cost of R$ 114 per month.

According to the CEO, without considering the leasing of a solution that offers equipment, software and applications, these entrepreneurs end up investing only in the emergency replacement of essential equipment for their operation, which means greater disbursements and eventual commitment of working capital and credit potential. . “These are small purchases of equipment that occur mostly at resellers, at prices charged to the final consumer. That is, in addition to costs, they do not revert to a higher level of digitization for the business, ”she explains.

“Adhering to outsourcing is an affordable way out that can take a business from the analogue era to online operation very quickly and help accelerate the digital maturation of these companies. However, there is a cultural barrier to be broken, which leads these leaders to believe that outsourcing the technology structure is an option restricted to large companies”, evaluates the CEO.

The FGV study also shows that in Brazil 57% of small companies do not have cybersecurity tools or use cloud applications. And that only 40% have some data backup routine.

“These are numbers that expose, on the one hand, a pressing need for adapting the technological structure on the part of small and medium-sized companies, and on the other hand, an opportunity for growth with the offer of low-cost solution packages, but which add security, reliability and consequent competitiveness to these businesses”, predicts the CEO.
