The POCO F3 is still very popular and if you are our subscriber, you know that for a long time it was considered by us to be the best cost/benefit when it comes to smartphones. The device is from 2021 and we want to know if there is still room for the POCO F3 on the market in 2023. Let’s analyze!
In video:
Design and Construction
The POCO F3 has an elegant and modern design with a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels with a 120 Hz refresh rate – a standard that is more common today, it was already present in the F3 back in the day. It makes the viewing experience smoother, especially when playing games or watching movies and series.
Its construction is premium, with aluminum on the frame, glass on the back and I remember perfectly praising it a lot in the review. The back of the device is slightly curved to fit comfortably in your hand. With the experience of having evaluated all the recent POCO, I can assure you that the brand was very successful in the design of the F3.
Performance
Our friend POCO F3 is powered by a Snapdragon 870, which is one of the still very powerful processors on the market. It is able to offer exceptional performance in processing-intensive tasks, such as super heavy games and video editing applications, for example. The handset comes in two memory variants, 6 GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage or 8 GB RAM with 256 GB internal storage. Both are highly recommended depending on your budget.
When exposed to heavy games, the POCO F3 responded very well. The device is so good that it was tested even following the update to MI UI 13. In all tests, the Roda Liso seal is stamped for this smartphone. I invite you to take a closer look at the performance of the POCO F3 on Roda Liso.
It’s safe to say that the POCO F3 still has enough firepower to give you a lot of joy with games in 2023, in addition, of course, to perform very well the most varied day-to-day tasks.
Battery
The POCO F3 has a 4520 mAh battery that did not withstand the intense battery test that we do here, with hours of videos, web browsing, social networks, games and a stress test. The F3’s battery ran out 5 minutes before the end of the tests. The activities that we normally do during a day are much lighter and you will hardly be in your hands before you get home. But, yes, the POCO F3 did not complete our test like the POCO F4 did, for example.
If necessary, users have 33W fast charging available that gives you a full charge from 0-100% in 1h34.
The battery is definitely not a strong point of the POCO F3, but it’s not a problem either. Keep calm.
cameras
Are the POCO F3 cameras any good? There are three in the main set: 48 MP, 8 MP and 5 MP. The 48 MP main camera offers sharp, colorful and detailed images, even in low light environments – only, of course, they gain a little noise. The 8MP Ultra Wide Camera widens the viewing angle and the 5MP Macro Camera lets you capture close-up details.]
On the front you have 20 MP to take quality selfies, with the same characteristics as the main camera. I would say that, overall, the cameras on the POCO F3 are not spectacular, but they are quite honest with the owner of the cell phone.
Software
The POCO F3 already has an update to Android 12 and is in the queue to guarantee the upgrade to Android 13 with Xiaomi’s MIUI14. The feature update keeps the smartphone with security at the top, in addition to bringing the new features that come with the system. It is an important point for those who want to buy a POCO F3 in 2023.
Price and competitors
Does an excellent performance please you? Good cameras too, right? The POCO F3 has it all for a price that has remained stable since its launch. In the last 90 days, with fluctuations upwards, the F3 has been in the range of R$ 2,389.90 since the beginning of the year. Is the POCO F3 worth that much?

Look, it’s worth it, but if you think that its successor, POCO F4, is costing the same thing, has very similar hardware, with additions to the main camera (goes to 64MP), I would say that it’s worth buying a POCO F4 , which is at least one year younger.
Still within POCO, the X4 GT, also from 2022, has an IPS screen with 144hz, a Dimensity 8100 processor (which proved to be very good in performance) and costs the very same price (R$ 2,353.00). I would also opt for a POCO X4 GT, under these conditions.
I have a POCO F3, do I need to change it?
Now, if you own a POCO F3, I highly doubt it’s a necessity to buy another device right now. POCO F3 delivers performance, honest photos and Ok battery to last all 2023 with ease. If you own an F3, you’re well served.
Is it worth buying a POCO F3 in 2023?
It’s fine, as long as you find a fantastic deal for it. That is, monitoring our Telegram offers channel or buying the device on Chinese sites such as Ali Express. I found a POCO F3 6GB/128GB, global version in black, white or blue, for R$1523.73. But I warn you that you may have to pay an import fee.
If you don’t like to buy outside Brazil or don’t have the security to do so, when looking at prices in Brazil, there are options within the brand that will give you at least one more year of support and security updates and deliver similar performance to not say equal to that of the POCO F3.
