I still remember the significant support he gave to Senegal, while he was Crown Prince, notably in the organization of the Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in 2008, a historic moment for our country.

In recognition of his essential role in the success of the OIC summit in Dakar, and in honor of the deep friendship he has always shown towards Senegal, President Abdoulaye Wade and I will send a delegation representing the Party Democratic Senegalese at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Dakar to present our most sincere condolences, pay a worthy tribute to his memory and express our solidarity with the friendly people of Kuwait.
