“It is urgent to streamline visas for our Moroccan business counterparts”

The restrictions related to the granting of French visas to Moroccans, taken by France at the end of 2021, do not only affect students or even ordinary citizens with medical appointments or even tourists, but also affect businessmen. .

A situation that prompted Fabrice Le Saché, vice-president and spokesperson for the Mouvement des entreprises de France (Medef), to react by affirming that he is ” urgent to streamline visas for our Moroccan business counterparts ».

Indeed, on the sidelines of the Meeting of Entrepreneurs of France (REF) 2022, which is being held on August 29 and 30 in Paris, Fabrice Le Saché expressed the determination of MEDEF, with Moroccan employers, to “ move forward together on concrete subjects: mobility of people, new industrial projects in Morocco, Moroccan investments in France”.

On his twitter post accompanied by a photo of the members of the CGEM, Fabrice Le Saché noted “a two-way relationship”thus thanking the CGEM for this dynamism as well as its president Chakib Alj.

In addition, the vice-president of French employers did not fail to return to another post on the problem of visas which are currently corrupting relations between the two countries.

“Obviously, it is essential and urgent to streamline and facilitate visas for our Moroccan business counterparts. there is no trade without movement of people”he insisted.

A few days before the REF 2022 was held, Fabrice Le Saché indicated, in another twitter post dated August 27, that “ Morocco is a big country. The dialogue between our private sectors is permanent. We must continue to build common projects”thus expressing his joy “ that a delegation of Moroccan employers be present at the REF 2022”. A post that comes in response to an article by l’Opinion entitled ” Between Morocco and France, the malaise becomes deep”.

It should be recalled that the CGEM (General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises), participates each year in the REF as a partner of MEDEF. The reaction of the vice-president of MEDEF comes, among other things, following the insistence of the CGEM, in November 2021, on “the need to remove certain obstacles such as the tightening of visa procedures since the beginning of 2021».
