The Progressive Graduates Association – the Engineers Sector, under the auspices of the President of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, held a ceremony at the National Library in Baakline, in honor of the former head of the Civil Planning Department in the Chouf, the late engineer Alissar Abdel Samad. The ceremony was attended by MP Marwan Hamadeh representing Jumblatt, head of the “Democratic Gathering” MP Taymour Jumblatt, member of the “Democratic Gathering” bloc MP Bilal Abdullah, Secretary General of the “Progressive” Dhafer Nasser, officials of the free professions in the “Amal” movement, “the Lebanese Forces” “Hezbollah”, “Al-Ahrar”, “The Islamic Group”, “The Free Patriotic Movement”, a delegation from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture – Fourth Branch, the Department of the National Library in Baakline, actors and the family of the late and interested.
Hamada delivered the speech of the sponsor of the ceremony, and he said: “When the party leader, Walid Jumblatt, asked me to talk regarding the late engineer Elissar, he confided to me that, in addition to the political and social party, this ancient party founded by the martyr teacher Kamal Jumblatt, and which Walid managed and struggled through, was There is another party auxiliary, and Elissar used to represent this party, the party of beauty, environment and urbanization, the party of women’s brilliance in this mountain, the party of science and everything that symbolizes the sophistication of the young woman. Not only for the sake of the mountain, but for all of Lebanon.
And he added: “We are fortunate, comrades of Al-Walid, that we are in the Chouf, which has preserved its beauty, sophistication and history, and the credit for that goes to a hero, not only in the political process, but also in the process of advancement, reconstruction, return and the process of reconciliation, to a beautiful person with his morals and knowledge like Alissar Abd Al-Samad is Walid Jumblatt.
He pointed out that “in these circumstances that Lebanon is going through, we have nothing but patience and then patience, although we know very well that patience has limits, and as in Lebanon, solidarity in Palestine, which is living in pivotal moments by moving from the decades-long dependence on regimes and illusions, to Embracing true resistance from within, following the Palestinians realized that the Arab regimes that carried the flag of Palestine had sold it in the middle of the road.
