Her candidacy was selected through a competition, and she was already approved by the Education and Science Committee of the Seimas.
R.Cimmperman obtained a master’s degree in management from ISM University of Management and Economics last year, previously studied biochemistry and microbiology at Vilnius University, holds a doctorate in biomedical sciences.

On January 23, Loreta Tauginienė’s five-year term as controller of academic ethics and procedures ended. On December 21, the Seimas dismissed her from her duties at her own request.
The Science Council failed to select a new controller of academic ethics in time, and L. Tauginienė refused to perform this position until a new official is appointed in her place, so on December 23, the Seimas assigned the chairman of the Lithuanian Science Council, Gintarus Valincius, to temporarily head the office.
The controller of academic ethics and procedures is a public official who examines complaints, reports and initiates investigations into possible violations of academic ethics and procedures, established in the academic ethics codes of research and study institutions.
Controllers are appointed by the Seimas for a five-year term on the proposal of the Lithuanian Science Council.
