As part of the implementation of instructions from the Bishkek City Hall, it is planned to build 100 points for the collection and sorting of garbage. This was reported by the press service of the mayor’s office of the capital.
“In the Sverdlovsk district of the capital, there is a station for sorting solid waste.
As part of the pilot project, a solid household waste sorting station is operating on the territory of the Sverdlovsk region at the intersection of Toktogul and Shopokov streets.
A special eco-site for primary sorting of waste was built taking into account national and international standards and sanitary and hygienic standards.
A eurocontainer, CCTV cameras have been installed, central communication systems have been connected: water supply, sewerage and electricity. A room was equipped for the waste sorter, a bathroom, an ariston and an air conditioner were installed.
Garbage containers are located in a specially designated place under a canopy to protect once morest precipitation (rain, snow). When installing the containers, the population of the nearest houses was also taken into account.
The purpose of the project:
1. Instilling in citizens the culture of separate collection and the development of environmental consciousness;
2. Improvement of the ecological situation and preservation of health;
3. Attracting private companies and increasing the revenue side of the city.”
