In what we can certainly call the “TikTok effect”, the Instagram expanded the option that allows download Reels by the application itself. This feature was initially launched for US users last June and is now available to everyone.
Naturally, the new feature will make it easier for users to save their favorite Reels and share them with people on other apps, especially for those who aren’t Instagram users.
To download a Reels, it’s simple: just open the Reels you want to download and tap the share icon (paper airplane); then select “Download”. The downloaded video will be saved in the Photos app (Photos).
It is worth noting that only public Reels can be downloaded by default — however, creators can disable the download option if they prefer. Additionally, if you are downloading a video that uses a licensed audio clip, it will not have any audio — only Reels with original audio tracks will have sound in the downloaded clip.
Delete multiple messages
In the testing arena, Instagram is evaluating a new feature that will allow users to delete multiple messages (direct messagesor DMs) simultaneously in chats.

This feature is similar to the bulk message deletion feature already available on WhatsApp. It is unclear, however, whether there will be any limit on the number of messages that can be deleted at once.
It is worth noting that, currently, the only way to delete a message (at a time) on Instagram is from the “unsend” option.
