Yesterday, Monday, May 30, the anniversary of the departure of the artist Madiha Yousri, who was born on December 3, 1918, and left our world on this day in 2018, at the age of 97, came.
Madiha Yousry was in a television interview on the “One of the People” program with the media, Amr Al-Leithi, before the illness she went through before her death, during which she spoke regarding her artistic and private life.
During the meeting, Madiha Yousry confirmed her strong friendship with the planet of the East Umm Kulthum, noting that she knows many of her secrets that have not yet been revealed, pointing out that she visited her several times in her palace.
Madiha Yousry added that Umm Kulthum was revealing to her all her secrets, especially the emotional, pointing out that she reprimanded her over the phone when she married a composer, she refused to mention his name, as that marriage lasted for only one week, following which the divorce occurred.
Madiha Yousry added, that she made a phone call to Kawkab Al Sharq, in which she blamed her following her marriage to this composer, as she said to her: “It is not Umm Kulthum who does this,” noting that she did not mean to belittle this composer.
Madiha Yousri passed away on June 30, at the age of 97, and her body was buried at the Sayeda Nafisa Mosque.
