The endowment fund aims to collect assets worth 200 million riyals until 2025, to spend the returns of its investments on endowment banks.
The fund is one of the initiatives launched by the Shifa Endowment to provide an opportunity for individuals and private sector institutions to contribute to alleviating the suffering of the targeted patients.
It contributes to stimulating community participation and activating the social responsibility of private sector companies in supporting non-profit development investment programs and effectively contributing within social solidarity programs to participate in supporting patients in need, in a way that enhances the development and investment of endowment assets, and achieves financial sustainability for its products.
During the ceremony, the Emir of Madinah presented the health coverage card to the first beneficiary of the Al-Shifa Health Endowment services, as this service is one of the modern models in the field of charitable work, as the insurance card covers the costs of basic health needs for those who are not covered by free health care in hospitals.
The Prince witnessed the signing ceremony of 9 agreements between the Al-Shifa Health Endowment and the Health Endowment Fund, the Home Medicine Association, My Blood Association, Kabdak Association, Hayat Association, Reaya Association, Bushra Association, Tahur Association, and Qulub Med Company.
The agreements come within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the endowment and the signatory parties in the field of supporting the charitable health work system in the region and providing health care to beneficiaries within the endowment services, in a way that contributes to health development, and raises the level of partnership and integration with the charitable health sector as one of the goals of the health transformation program at the region level.
Prince Faisal bin Salman honored 8 endowment entities, national companies and businessmen representing donors for the Al-Salam Endowment Hospital project, with a total value of 80 million riyals, with the aim of providing services to visitors and pilgrims with a capacity of 61 beds west of the Prophet’s Mosque.
