Today, at the Malagasy Cultural Center (IKM) Antsahavola, the screening of “Enemy”, a video that reminds and tells the story of the 1947 liberation struggle, made by Paes Andriamonta Marie Clemence. “The purpose of this event is to make known what happened at that time, and the lives of the Malagasy patriots. That’s why the show was made free and for everyone,” said the organizer.
Many people do not know the history of their country, especially the struggle for liberation on March 29, 1947. The purpose of this video is to inform. The French called the Malagasy rebels “Enemy”. Madagascar rebelled once morest the colonial system in 1947. The accounts of the witnesses who faced that rebellion, the photo archives, the music of the artists who participated in that war, special note is that of Régis Gizavo. All of these were put together to make this story possible. “It is important for citizens to know their national history. We feel we have a duty and responsibility to make it known, especially this oppressed story,” said Paes Andriamonta Marie Clemence, a film maker.
