Speculators have run into problems trying to sell PlayStation 5s purchased during a shortage of devices on the market. The Wccftech portal drew attention to this.
Due to the increased supply of new PlayStation 5, it has become more difficult for resellers to sell old models, mainly the first revisions of the consoles. Given that the average price on the market is $450-470 depending on the version and regarding $510 (₽41 thousand) for bundles with games, speculators are forced to lower the cost of devices to $400-450 (₽32-36 thousand) in order to sell at least part of the product.
Previously, resellers who purchased NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 video cards faced similar problems. The device turned out to be unpopular with buyers, so speculators had to sell it at a reduced price.
