After the case was reported, the couple was stopped by the police on the highway near Tornimparte (L’Aquila). According to the officers’ findings, the man driving did not have a license and the woman had already been reported for failure to return the rented car that had not been paid for. Not only that. A blank gun with a red cap was also found under the driver’s seat, which was seized.
