Some men get used to taking Viagra tablets, believing that it helps treat erectile dysfunction, and enhance sexual ability when engaging in intimacy.
Viagra tablets have not only helped improve the relationship between spouses, but they have other benefits besides some side effects, according to what the “express” website mentioned.
According to the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), the drug, which is available in tablet or liquid form, should be taken four hours to 30 minutes before sexual activity, and advises not to take sildenafil more than once every 24 hours.

Sudden impairment or loss of hearing

– Dizziness

In rare cases, daily use of these tablets can cause sudden, severe loss of vision. The National Institutes of Health explains that: “Some patients have experienced a sudden loss of some or all of their vision following taking sildenafil or other sildenafil-like medications.”
The vision loss was permanent and in some cases it was not known whether it was caused by medication, or by pre-existing health conditions.
The National Institutes of Health revealed that there were reports of heart attack, stroke, irregular heartbeat, bleeding in the brain or lungs, high blood pressure and sudden death in men who took sildenafil to treat erectile dysfunction.
The National Institutes of Health explains that most of these people had heart problems before taking sildenafil, noting that it is not known whether these events were caused by it, sexual activity, heart disease, or a combination of these and other causes, so you should speak up. Talk to your doctor regarding the risks of taking sildenafil.
You should not take Viagra tablets if you:
You have had an allergic reaction to it or any other medicines in the past
You take medicines called nitrates for chest pain
You have a serious heart or liver problem
You have recently had a stroke or heart attack
You suffer from low blood pressure
You have a rare hereditary eye disease, such as retinitis pigmentosa
