Asunción, IP Agency.- The Guidance Mission of the Inter-American Development Bank, aimed at preparing the Recovery Program for the Lake Ypacaraí basin, comes to an end following a series of meetings held yesterday and a closing meeting scheduled for this Friday.
The commitments established to continue with the execution of the program will be reviewed during the meeting scheduled for tomorrow with authorities from the Ministries of Public Works and Economy and Finance, and members of the IDB mission.
During the meetings held, aspects of economic and financial evaluation were addressed, as well as the institutional analysis necessary for the preparation of the “Operation Development Proposal” and issues related to the IDB Climate Program.
The national government and the IDB marked a milestone in the fight once morest climate change by signing a transcendental agreement, focused on the climate agenda and positioning Paraguay as one of the first countries in the innovative IDB-CLIMA program, which in this case covers the recovery of this natural heritage of all Paraguayans.
The Lake Ypacaraí Basin Sanitation Project is under the responsibility of the Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation, dependent on the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, in coordination with the National Directorate of Lake Ypacaraí Management and Management and other dependencies, for achieve the set objectives.
