It cost $500 million.. Bezos’ yacht enters open waters

The giant yacht owned by the American billionaire, founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, entered open waters for the first time this week, as part of the tests that are being conducted on it in the construction phase.

Yacht trials consist of several tests, and open water sailing is usually among the final stages of construction, which means the Amazon founder’s yacht is close to being fully sailed.

And the yacht “Kuru”, which cost $ 500 million, will be the largest sailing yacht in the world if all trials are completed and the construction process is completed.

The yacht aroused the ire of the residents of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, where the yacht is being built, because the company designed for it, Oceanco, demanded to dismantle the historic Koningshavenbrug Bridge so that the yacht might pass because the ship’s three masts were too high.
