With information from protothema, in the announcement issued by its Management Istanbulit is reported that the fire is believed to have been caused by renovation work.
An explosion reportedly occurred on the stage of the Masquerade nightclub, located on the top floor of the 16-story building, which was closed for Ramadan as it underwent renovations. After the explosion, a fire broke out in the nightclub. As the fire raged, the club and building filled with smoke. At that moment, those in the club and building were trapped.
