.- Within the framework of the World Mental Health Day, which is commemorated on Monday, October 10, the Institute of Security and Social Services of the Workers of the Government and Municipalities of the State of Baja California (ISSSTECALI) invites the population to privilege the actions that contribute to the mental well-being of minors to prevent neurological and emotional alterations in their adult life.In this sense, the deputy general medical director, Angélica Pon Méndez, pointed out that some of the mental disorders that occur in adults can be detected and worked on from childhood, however, sometimes, due to a lack of sensitivity on issues related to parental mental health, early intervention that might delay signs and symptoms of emotional or behavioral disturbance in adulthood is missed.
“Mental well-being is essential at all stages of human development and in these times where great challenges have been presented by the pandemic, returning to normal activities has become a great challenge for everyone. For this reason, ISSSTECALI is constantly training its health personnel so that they apply the strategies they learn, both in their personal and professional lives. We know that stress, anxiety and depression are alterations that have been potentiated in recent years worldwide and we seek that our rights holders can recognize and treat them, “added the public official.
Likewise, he reported some of the signs that should be considered when seeking psychological counseling:
– If the person shows constant sadness that lasts more than a week.
